Baseball Recap: San Marin Takes a Loss

San Marin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 8-4 to the Oak Ridge Trojans.

Aidan Whitmore made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Joey Cipollina, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

San Marin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Oak Ridge, they moved to 7-12 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

San Marin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-10 victory against Granite Bay on the 16th. As for Oak Ridge, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Cardinal Newman on the 16th.
