Basketball Recap: North Mustangs vs. McClintock Chargers

North lost to McClintock back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs took a hard 72-56 fall against the Chargers. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why North lost, don't look at Dwight Williams Jr. Despite the final result, he shot 58% from the field on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Devion Garcia, who went 5-for-7 en route to 11 points and seven rebounds.

McClintock's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aidan Whitaker, who shot 54% from the field to rack up 17 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The Chargers are undefeated when Whitaker posts three or more steals, but 7-13 otherwise. Josh McManaway was another key player, going 8-for-13 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds.

North's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for McClintock, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-13.

As of now, neither North nor the Chargers have any future games scheduled.
