Naaman Forest hasn't had much luck against Sachse recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rangers are taking a road trip to square off against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m.
On Friday, Naaman Forest came up short against North Garland and fell 22-15. Despite 133 more yards than the Raiders, the Rangers couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Brody Perales, who threw for 178 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Naaman Forest also got help from Johnathan Frenchlove, who showed off his sure hands for 90 receiving yards.
Don't try to pin the team's loss on the defense: they kept the trenches locked down and allowed a mere 2.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Perales for the heroic effort on defense: he. This was only their first loss (out of four games) when they shut down the run game so well.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sachse). They really took it to South Garland for the full four quarters, racking up a 52-7 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Mustangs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Titans are ranked 945th).
Sachse's win came from a few key players Naaman Forest will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Micah Hill, who rushed for 61 yards and two scores. Those 61 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Roderick Rainwater, who gained 121 total yards and a touchdown.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Sachse, racking up 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Marcus Rhoden, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from Connor Nash.
The victory made it two in a row for Sachse and bumps their season record up to 5-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 17 points in those games. As for Naaman Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Naaman Forest might still be hurting after the 30-7 loss they got from Sachse in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Rangers, Brendon Haygood (who rushed for 169 yards and one TD while picking up 9.4 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
