Preview: Cresset Christian Academy Eagles vs. Carolina Friends Quakers
The Cresset Christian Academy Eagles's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Carolina Friends Quakers at 5:15 p.m. on January 16th.
Cresset Christian Academy suffered their biggest loss since November 20, 2023 on Friday. They were dealt a 68-19 loss at the hands of Crossroads Christian. While losing is never fun, Cresset Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 641st, while Crossroads Christian is ranked 185th).
Carolina Friends has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 46-38 win over Cristo Rey Research Triangle on Friday.
Cresset Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Carolina Friends, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-8.
Cresset Christian Academy came up short against Carolina Friends in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, falling 66-55. Can Cresset Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
