Softball Recap: Lafayette Generals vs. Tates Creek Commodores

Lafayette won the last time they faced Tates Creek, and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lafayette Generals came out on top against the Tates Creek Commodores by a score of 10-6.

Rylan Music made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Music was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Anna Clay Denton was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jenna Wells, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Lafayette's win bumped their record up to 20-15. As for Tates Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-20 record this season.

Lafayette will challenge Lexington Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lexington Catholic will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Lafayette surely won't give up without a fight. Tates Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
