Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory's Winning Streak

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory was the 2-1 winner over Los Altos when they last played one another back in October of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Fightin' Irish took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Saturday. The Fightin' Irish's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-15.

Los Altos found their leader in freshman Angela Deng, who had 27 assists and four digs. Deng is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Los Altos, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory will square off against Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Los Altos, they will challenge Mountain View at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
