Volleyball Game Preview: Tri-Valley Bulldogs vs. Faith Christian

The Tri-Valley Bulldogs will challenge Faith Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tri-Valley is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Tri-Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Ephrata Mennonite.

Tri-Valley relied on the efforts of Kirra Klinger, who had 23 digs and four assists, and Callie Melocheck, who hit 66.7% for five kills and 15 digs, eight aces, and one block. Melocheck is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

They weren't the only good servers: Tri-Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matchups.

Faith Christian not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 5, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past Maritime Academy Charter 3-0.

Faith Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Tri-Valley, their win bumped their record up to 27-3.

Tri-Valley came up short against Faith Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
