Soccer Recap: Edison's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Edison barely beat Willard the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers never let the Crimson Flashes get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Monday. Fans of Edison have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Their offense was hitting Willard from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Alex Davidson led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

The win keeps Edison at an undefeated 5-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 48 goals over those five games. As for Willard, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Edison will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Columbian at 7:00 p.m. on September 8. As for Willard, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Huron at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
