La Habra entered their tilt with Pacifica on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Mariners. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win on Wednesday.

Angel Acuna spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, La Habra let Bobby Brooks and Spencer Carty run wild. Brooks went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Carty went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Brooks has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

La Habra pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Pacifica, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
