Volleyball Recap: Dobyns-Bennett Has No Trouble Against Tennessee

There's no place like home for Dobyns-Bennett, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tennessee Vikings on Tuesday. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Indians this season.

Dobyns-Bennett never let Tennessee on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, 25-16.

Addyson Gentry and Emily Curtin certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Gentry had 12 digs and three assists, while Curtin had four digs and four assists.

Dobyns-Bennett has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Tennessee, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Dobyns-Bennett will challenge rival Daniel Boone at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tennessee is set to take on their familiar foe West Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
