Volleyball Recap: Ossining Pride vs. Brewster Bears
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ossining can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brewster Bears on Thursday. The Pride's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Brewster scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 17-25, 25-22, 25-17.
Talia Cort paced Ossining's offense, picking up 16 kills. Cort got some help from
Gabriella Hennessy and her 31 assists. Cort was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Ossining's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-12. As for Brewster, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
