Soccer Game Preview: Manning vs. Marion

The Manning Monarchs will venture away from home to face off against the Marion Swamp Foxes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Manning, who comes in off a win.

Manning is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Georgetown on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for Manning as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against Lake City, falling 4-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Marion were already down 3-0.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Manning, their win bumped their record up to 3-13.

Manning came out on top in a nail-biter against Marion when the teams last played back in March of 2021, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Monarchs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Swamp Foxes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
