Calvary Baptist entered their tilt with United Christian Academy on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Eagles. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 7-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Calvary Baptist let Devin Debuono and Zaedik Mcphail run wild. Debuono scored two runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-5, while Mcphail scored four runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Debuono has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Guillen, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Calvary Baptist kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Calvary Baptist's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for United Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Calvary Baptist will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Crossroads Christian at 6:30 p.m. on the 7th. As for United Christian Academy, they will challenge Bosco Tech at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
