Football Game Preview: Monroe Golden Tornadoes vs. Bainbridge Bearcats + How To Watch

The Monroe Golden Tornadoes will head out on the road to square off against the Bainbridge Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Monroe and eight for Bainbridge.

Monroe came up short against Westover on Friday, falling 42-21.

Keyon Thomas put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 47 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Bainbridge played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Peach County, falling 41-7. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Trojans are ranked 47th).

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Bainbridge, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Monroe strolled past Bainbridge when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 35-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Tornadoes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
