Baseball Recap: Central Cambria's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Central Cambria waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Chestnut Ridge Lions. That's two games straight that the Red Devils have won by just one run.

JD Brouse spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on seven hits.

At the plate, Central Cambria saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Black, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Central Cambria pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Chestnut Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Cambria will take on Bellwood-Antis at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chestnut Ridge, they will face off against Tyrone at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
