Chester won the last time they faced Apple Springs and things went their way on Thursday too. The Yellowjackets put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 8-1 win. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Chester and bumps their season record up to 15-5-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-3 Zavalla and 7-8 Apple Springs. As for Apple Springs, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chester will square off against rival Burkeville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Apple Springs is set to take on their familiar foe Zavalla at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
