Recap: East Jefferson Warriors vs. Willow Lions
The East Jefferson Warriors''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of Willow by a score of 24-21.
East Jefferson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Gaven Bester, who threw for 220 yards and a touchdown. Dajon Bates was in the mix as well, providing East Jefferson with two touchdowns.
East Jefferson's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.0 points per game. As for Willow, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
East Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Willow also has no future games currently scheduled.
