Recap: Deubrook Dolphins vs. DeSmet Bulldogs
The Deubrook Dolphins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 62-49 to DeSmet. Deubrook lost against DeSmet in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 70-51 score last time.
Deubrook lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jake Jorenby, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Landmark, who scored ten points.
Deubrook's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for DeSmet, the victory was the 11th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 1-0.
Deubrook will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Deuel at 7:45 p.m. As for DeSmet, they will head out on the road to face off against Clark/Willow Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
