Basketball Recap: Cuyahoga Heights Takes a Loss

Cuyahoga Heights was the 39-31 winner over Trinity when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves took a 41-25 bruising from the Trinity Trojans on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Red Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 627th, while the Trojans are ranked 222nd).

Among those leading the charge was Iniya Charlton, who posted ten points along with six boards and four steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 30 times she's played. Nilah Thornton was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Cuyahoga Heights is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7. As for Trinity, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Cuyahoga Heights will challenge Beachwood at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Trinity, they will square off against Brooklyn at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
