Baseball Recap: Carencro Takes a Loss

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Carencro was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell 5-1 to the Sulphur Golden Tors. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Golden Tors: they've now lost eight in a row.

Carencro saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Forestier, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Carencro's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Sulphur, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-13 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carencro will face off against Sulphur at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sulphur, they will challenge Many at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
