Volleyball Game Preview: Gillespie Miners vs. Carrollton Hawks

Gillespie hasn't had much luck against Carrollton recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Miners will be playing at home against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Carrollton took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Gillespie, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Gillespie was able to grind out a solid victory over Vandalia, taking the game 2-0. The Miners haven't had any issues with the Vandals recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

While Gillespie might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Vandalia scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Carrollton came up short against Morton on Saturday and fell 2-0.

Gillespie's victory bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Carrollton, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-5-1.
