Flag Football Game Preview: Bowdon Red Devils vs. Marist War Eagles

After each having a week off, the Bowdon Red Devils and the Marist War Eagles will shake off the rust and duke it out on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Bowdon 11.9, Marist 7.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

Bowdon is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Cedartown, posting a 54-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Red Devils as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meg Robinson was a one-woman wrecking crew as she threw for 298 yards and six touchdowns while completing 77.8% of her passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. Those six passing touchdowns gave her a new career-high. Adalyn Chambers helped Robinson out on the ground, rushing for 96 yards, while also picking up 61 receiving yards.

Bowdon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Robinson led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by herself. Amari King got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Marist earned a 19-6 victory over Johns Creek two weeks ago.

Marist's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Bowdon, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.
