Champion lost against Southeast back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Golden Flashes took a 43-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. The Golden Flashes' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Champion's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Southeast, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Champion will challenge Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels' defense has only allowed 7.9 points per game this season, so the Golden Flashes' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Southeast, they will square off against Brookfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
