Princeton is 8-2 against Kewanee since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Boilermakers at 4:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Friday, Princeton earned a 12-9 win over Ottawa. With that victory, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Ace Christiansen made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Princeton let Stihl Brokaw and Jordan Reinhardt run wild. Brokaw went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Reinhardt went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two hits gave Brokaw a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Kloepping, who earned one RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases.
Princeton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Kewanee came into Friday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 15-11 win over Galesburg on Friday.
Colson Welgat made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Welgat was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Logan Peed was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ben Taylor, who went 3-for-4 with four runs and two RBI.
Princeton's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12-1. As for Kewanee, their win bumped their record up to 12-18.
