Soccer Recap: Camelback Comes Up Short

Camelback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the South Mountain Jaguars, falling 5-0. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 back in December of 2024.

Camelback's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for South Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Camelback has already played their next contest (against Dobson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Mountain will square off against Cortez at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Mountain is facing Cortez at the right time seeing as Cortez is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
