Flag Football Game Preview: Kaiser Cats vs. Jurupa Hills Spartans

Two dominant wideouts in Valeria Guevara and Jaylene Murillo are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Kaiser Cats will host the Jurupa Hills Spartans at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Kaiser 6.1, Jurupa Hills 15) so any points scored will be well earned.

On Tuesday, Kaiser was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 25-19 to Summit. The loss was the Cats' first of the season.

Meanwhile, after only six points in their last game, Jurupa Hills made sure to put some points up on the board against Rim of the World on Tuesday. The Spartans blew past the Fighting Scots, posting a 38-7 victory. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Kaiser better keep an eye on Emelie Castrejon. She was instrumental in Jurupa Hills' win, throwing for 289 yards and six TDs while completing 73.1% of her passes. The dominant performance also gave Castrejon a new career-high in passer rating (148.9).

Jurupa Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kamaya Johns and Jazel Lopez. Johns has been hot recently, having posted at least one interception the last three times she's played.

Jurupa Hills' win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Kaiser, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 13-1.
