Volleyball Recap: Rockingham County Takes a Loss

Rockingham County lost against McMichael two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against the Phoenix, falling 3-0.

McMichael can attribute much of their success to Emily Smith, who had nine digs and six assists. That's the most assists Smith has posted since back in September.

Rockingham County has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for McMichael, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-10.

Rockingham County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McMichael, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Bartlett Yancey on the 15th.
