Volleyball Recap: South Summit Comes Up Short

South Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Sevier Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

South Summit started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-13.

South Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for North Sevier, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-11.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. South Summit will square off against rival North Summit at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, North Sevier is set to take on their familiar foe Millard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
