West Point had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Mathews on Thursday. The Pointers put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Pointers haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

West Point's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Mathews, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8.
