Volleyball Recap: Crown Point Triumphs

Crown Point hadn't done well against Munster recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Bulldogs had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Mustangs last Saturday, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Crown Point got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 15-13.

Cole Emmanuelson paced Crown Point's offense, picking up five kills. Emmanuelson got some help from Brayden Schopieray and his seven assists. Drew Schafer controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Crown Point's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Munster, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Coincidentally, Crown Point and Munster will both be playing Andrean the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Fighting 59ers at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
