Basketball Recap: Bay Takes a Loss

Bay and Quitman squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Bay had to settle for second. They fell to the Quitman Panthers 36-30. The Tigers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Quitman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but RAYNESHA EVANS-BONNER led the charge by going 5 for 7 on her way to 11 points along with seven boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave EVANS-BONNER a new career-high in points. TATIYONNA PITTMAN was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.

Bay's loss dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Quitman, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Bay nor Quitman have any future games scheduled.
