Baseball Recap: Horizon Extends Winning Streak to Three

Horizon won against Skyline last Tuesday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Hawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mountain Range Mustangs, sneaking past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Hawks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Horizon's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Brennan, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Brennan has posted since back in May of 2024.

Horizon's record is now 4-7. As for Mountain Range, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon will square off against Longmont at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mountain Range, they will head out to challenge Riverdale Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ravens have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
