Softball Recap: Rivercrest Colts vs. Hoxie Mustangs
It looked like the Kentucky Derby when Rivercrest duked it out with Hoxie on Tuesday. The Rivercrest Colts fell just short of the Hoxie Mustangs by a score of 4-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colts of the 11-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.
Katelyn Ostendorf put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
