Volleyball Recap: Avi Ware and Ethan Chan Secure Win for Milpitas

Milpitas waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Eastside College Prep Panthers 3-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win back in April.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-15.

Leading Milpitas to victory were Ethan Chan and Avi Ware. Chan had 11 digs and ten assists, while Ware had eight digs and one assist. That's the most digs Chan has posted since back in April. Mitchell Mai also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Milpitas was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Milpitas pushed their record up to 18-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Eastside College Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Coincidentally, Milpitas and Eastside College Prep will both be playing King's Academy the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Trojans will head out to face them at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
