Baseball Recap: Rich Township Raptors vs. Thornton Wildcats

In what's become a running theme this season, Rich Township gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They never let the Thornton Wildcats onto the board and left with a 20-0 win. Winning may never get old, but Rich Township sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Librian Poole was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tommie Wright, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, a triple, and a run.

Rich Township's victory bumped their record up to 10-14-1. As for Thornton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rich Township will take on Crete-Monee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Thornton, they will head out on the road to square off against Bloom at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Bloom will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
