Basketball Recap: New Covenant School Cavaliers vs. Temple Christian Academy Warriors
The New Covenant School Cavaliers lost against the Temple Christian Academy Warriors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. New Covenant School took a hard 62-43 fall against the Warriors. New Covenant School has not had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Jeramy Trangmar continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Temple Christian Academy, scoring 26 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Trangmar is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last 14 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Holbrook, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
New Covenant School has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Temple Christian Academy, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 20-3.
New Covenant School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Temple Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Greenville Classical Academy is on a four-game streak of home wins, the Warriors a eight-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
