Softball Recap: Juarez-Lincoln Comes Up Short

Juarez-Lincoln lost against Rio Grande City back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Huskies came up short against the Rattlers, falling 14-2. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

April Marroquin was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Juarez-Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Rio Grande City, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-4.

Coming up, Juarez-Lincoln will venture away from home to face off against Mission Veterans Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.47 runs per game on average), something the Huskies will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Rio Grande City, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-0 win against Nixon on the 11th.
