Monmouth Academy waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 55-47 victory over the Dirigo Cougars. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 56-55 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Monmouth Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Dirigo, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monmouth Academy will head out to challenge Hall-Dale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Monmouth Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Hall-Dale likes a good challenge. As for Dirigo, they will head out on the road to square off against Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
