Flag Football Recap: Highland Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Highland extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Alexis Eley. The Hawks simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the O'Connor Eagles 30-0 with plenty of help from Eley, who threw for 234 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 64 yards on only nine carries. She is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as she's now passed for four or more in each of the last three games she's played.

One reason for the win was Highland's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Emery Wright and Kylie Riggs, who racked up five sacks between them. The game marked Riggs' first with multiple sacks this season.

Highland's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for O'Connor, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Coincidentally, Highland and O'Connor will both be playing Mountain Ridge the next time they take the field. The Eagles will head out to face the Mountain Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Hawks will host them at 6:00 p.m. on the 7th.
