Emerson Carter gave up the fewest hits he has since back in April of 2024 on Tuesday. He turned in nothing short of a gem, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Union Academy is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-6 otherwise.

Carter's effort led Union Academy over Gray Stone Day and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Union Academy is a perfect 9-0 against Gray Stone Day going back to May of 2017, a lead they'll look to extend.
