Volleyball Recap: Owen-Withee Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Owen-Withee hadn't done well against Phillips recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Blackhawks walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Loggers. The Blackhawks were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Loggers, so the Blackhawks were just returning the favor.

Owen-Withee not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Phillips between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17.

With the win, Owen-Withee broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4. As for Phillips, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Owen-Withee will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Colby at 7:15 p.m. on the 30th. As for Phillips, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Somerset on the 20th.
