While Parker's victory against Wenonah wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Thundering Herd won by a set and slipped past the Dragons 3-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 5, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Parker had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 20-25, 25-18, 25-18, 15-6.

Marley Allen paced Parker's offense, picking up eight kills. Allen got some help from Katelynn Burnett and her four assists. Burnett also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with LaKhari Yellock, each putting up six.

Parker's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Wenonah, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Parker will head out to challenge Hueytown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wenonah, they will be playing at home against Holy Family Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
