Basketball Recap: Cannon Case's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Shenandoah over Lapel

Shenandoah suffered their biggest loss since February 9, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Lapel Bulldogs, falling 62-37. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cannon Case, who posted seven points and four blocks. Those four blocks gave Case a new career-high. Karter Gray was another key player, putting up six points.

Lapel got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bode Judge out in front who on his way to 21 points. Judge's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brode B Judge, who to rack up 15 points and five rebounds.

Shenandoah's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Lapel, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Shenandoah has already played their next contest, a 73-45 win against Randolph Southern on the 15th. As for Lapel, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-62 victory against Winchester Community on the 18th.
