Softball Recap: Olive Branch Takes a Loss

Olive Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Saltillo Tigers, falling 14-1. The Conquistadors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Olive Branch saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cedajah Woodson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Kristen Howard also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Olive Branch's record is now 1-7. As for Saltillo, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olive Branch will welcome Lake Cormorant at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Cormorant has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.07 runs per game on average), something Olive Branch will no doubt try to take advantage of. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Nettleton will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Saltillo surely won't give up without a fight.
