Kevin Johnson put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in June of 2024 on Monday. He struck out ten batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has become a key player for Coventry: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-4 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Johnson and Coventry will be playing in front of their home fans against Granby Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
