            Volleyball Recap: Pattonville Pirates vs. Parkway South Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            Pattonville suffered their biggest  defeat since September 17th on Friday. They came up short against  the Parkway South Patriots, falling  3-0. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in September of 2024.
 While Pattonville was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23,  25-22.
 Sydney Stranghoener paced Pattonville's offense, picking up eight kills. Stranghoener got some help from  Ellen Mae Young and her 14 assists. Stranghoener was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with three aces.
 Parkway South was led to victory by  Lily Hennekes and  Lucy Wright.  Hennekes  had 23  digs and four  assists, while  Wright  had eight  digs and two  aces. With that strong performance,  Hennekes is now averaging an impressive 10.4  digs per game.
Pattonville's defeat  ended  a  three-match streak of away wins  and  brought them to 12-12. As for Parkway South, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-2 record  this season.
 Pattonville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  victory against Northwest on the 30th. As for Parkway South, they have also already played their next match,  a  3-0  win against Hazelwood Central on the 29th.
