Volleyball Game Preview: Western Wayne Wildcats vs. North Pocono Trojans

The Western Wayne Wildcats will challenge the North Pocono Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Western Wayne extended their road winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Abbie Washine. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out Valley View 3-2 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Washine, who had six digs and four aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Western Wayne wouldn't go down easily and took Valley View into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 21-25, 21-25, 16-14.

Meanwhile, North Pocono got the win against Mountain View on Monday by a conclusive 3-0.

North Pocono walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-10, 25-19, 25-21.

Western Wayne now has a winning record of 7-6. As for North Pocono, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
