Softball Preview: Dixon Rams vs. East Nicolaus Spartans

Dixon is 0-4 against East Nicolaus since April of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Rams will face off against the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

East Nicolaus will be up against a hot Dixon squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Rams put the hurt on Woodland with a sharp 19-2 win on Monday.

Dakota Gaball made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).

That triple was Glenn's first of the season.

In other batting news, Lela DeCecco was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Makinze Massey, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.
