Dixon is 0-4 against East Nicolaus since April of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Rams will face off against the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
East Nicolaus will be up against a hot Dixon squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Rams put the hurt on Woodland with a sharp 19-2 win on Monday.

Dakota Gaball made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emily Morris, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Olivia Gomez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5.
Meanwhile, while East Nicolaus put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Winters. The Spartans blew past the Warriors 14-0. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Spartans considering their two-run performance the match before.
Like Dixon, East Nicolaus also got a great game from a two-way player: Kylah Glenn. Throwing, Glenn tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Stevie Knight pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Glenn went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI, while Knight scored a run while going 1-for-3. That triple was Glenn's first of the season.
In other batting news, Lela DeCecco was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Makinze Massey, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.
East Nicolaus was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Dixon's victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for East Nicolaus, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-4.
Dixon couldn't quite get it done against East Nicolaus when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
