Volleyball Recap: Strawn Snags 18th Victory in Last 22 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jonesboro, Strawn was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rising Star Wildcats. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory back in August.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Strawn took every set by at least 25 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Strawn has been performing well recently as they've won 18 of their last 22 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7-1 record this season. As for Rising Star, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Looking ahead, Strawn will face off against Bluff Dale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rising Star, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lingleville at 6:00 p.m. on October 7.
