Basketball Game Preview: Porter Spartans vs. Pasadena Eagles

Porter hasn't had much luck against Pasadena recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Spartans are taking a road trip to challenge the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Porter came up short against Kingwood Park and fell 46-35. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 948th, while the Panthers are ranked 341st).

Meanwhile, Pasadena also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Dayton by a score of 52-43. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Broncos: they've now lost three in a row.

Pasadena's loss dropped their record down to 8-22. As for Porter, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 8-22.

Porter couldn't quite finish off Pasadena when the teams last played back in January and fell 44-42. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
